With the impact of human activities on the global climate, the impact of climate crisis is becoming more and more serious, almost everywhere. Due to global warming, we are facing hazardous consequences of weather and climate such as heat waves, floods, droughts, wildfires, higher sea level. The average global temperature is rising at an unprecedented rate, the possibility that the global warming level will remain below 1.5°C compared with that before industrialization is rapidly reduced, and the risk of human beings crossing the irreversible turning point is also increasing.

During the 13th Five Year Plan period, in order to implement the Made in China 2025 and the Guidelines for the Implementation of Green Manufacturing Projects (2016-2020) and accelerate the promotion of green manufacturing, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the Construction of Green Manufacturing System in September 2016, deciding to carry out the construction of green manufacturing system. The construction of this system aims to promote the green development of the whole industry chain and the whole life cycle of products, takes enterprises as the main body of construction, and is based on an open and transparent third-party evaluation mechanism and standard system to ensure the standardization and unity of the construction of the green manufacturing system, with green factories, green products, green parks, and green supply chains as the main contents.
