Brief Introduction

According to the 2014 Report on the National Investigation of Soil Contamination, the current national soil environment is generally not optimistic. The soil contamination in some areas is serious, the quality of cultivated land soil environment is worrying, and the soil environmental problems in industrial and mining wastelands are prominent. However, heavy metal pollution incidents of agricultural products, which are frequently reported in the press, also seriously challenge the public's sense of security and cause great concern of the whole society. The Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, which came into force on January 1, 2019, has seven chapters and ninety-nine articles. This is the first time that China has formulated a special law to regulate the prevention and control of soil contamination. The promulgation and implementation of this law is to implement the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee on soil contamination prevention and control, and also help improve the legal system with Chinese characteristics, especially the legal system of ecological environment protection and pollution prevention and control. And it will also provide support for the prevention and control of soil contamination and the solid promotion of the pollution-free defense war.

Through site investigation and analysis, identify potential pollutants on the site and recognize potential key pollution areas on the site; take measures to eliminate or reduce soil and groundwater risk events, or reduce losses caused by soil and groundwater pollution events. According to the investigation and statistics of Green Data, in 2020, the number of review reports on soil investigation submitted by the Standard Ecological Environment and its one-time pass rate ranked among the top three in China.
